Suqia UAE Supports Al Freej Fridge Campaign

Under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, Suqia UAE contributed 700,000 bottles of cold water to the “Al Freej Fridge” campaign. This second edition of the humanitarian initiative aims to alleviate the summer heat’s impact on workers in Dubai and foster community solidarity.

Partnership with Al Freej Fridge Campaign

The campaign, launched by Ferjan Dubai in collaboration with the UAE Food Bank, aims to distribute 2 million bottles of water and refreshments to workers across Dubai by 23rd August. Key beneficiaries include cleaning and construction workers, delivery drivers, and roadside and landscaping workers, helping reduce health risks like dehydration and heat exhaustion.

Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, Acting Executive Director of Suqia UAE, emphasized the importance of supporting the campaign, highlighting how it mirrors the UAE’s values of compassion and solidarity. Ibrahim Al Balooshi, Director of Sustainability and Partnerships at MBRGI, praised Suqia UAE’s support, calling it vital to the campaign’s success in expanding its reach.

Distribution and Impact

The water bottles are distributed via refrigerated vehicles and stocked in fixed fridges in workers’ accommodations, significantly enhancing the campaign’s effectiveness. Suqia UAE’s involvement highlights its commitment to humanitarian and community-focused projects.

Previous Success

The first edition of the Al Freej Fridge campaign distributed 1 million bottles of refreshments in 2024, gaining substantial support from various sectors.
