Youngest Emirati Conquers Mount Elbrus
Fatima Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, at 17, has become the youngest Emirati to summit Mount Elbrus in Russia, Europe’s highest peak.
Aspiring for the Seven Summits
This achievement is part of her quest to complete the “Seven Summits” challenge, having already climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
Support and Dedication
With support from UAE-based Finance House, Al Awadhi raised the UAE flag atop the mountain as a symbol of hope and inspiration for Arab youth, especially young women.
She dedicated this success to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, acknowledging their support for youth and women.
Message of Empowerment
“Reaching this summit was possible because of the unwavering support of our leadership,” Al Awadhi stated. “I dedicate this achievement to those who taught us that nothing is beyond our reach.”
Future Plans
Al Awadhi blends her adventurous spirit with community engagement, planning environmental and humanitarian initiatives to aid underprivileged communities and protect nature.
She emphasized her broader mission, proclaiming, “It is a message that Emirati and Arab youth, especially young women, are capable of leading, exploring and making a meaningful impact.”
Gratitude and Inspiration
Al Awadhi expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family. “To my mother, Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi, you are my anchor and my strength. And to my late father, Abdulrahman Al Awadhi, your guidance taught me to aim for the skies with steady steps.”
